Help build the computational model of human biology.

IROC is building a World Model of Human Biology: a computational model designed to capture how biological systems work, change, and respond to perturbations.

We combine biological knowledge, experimental data, and AI to build models that can help us understand biology, make predictions, and accelerate scientific discovery.

The foundations are in place. Now we're looking for a Founding Computational Biologist to build on them and shape what the World Model learns, represents, and predicts.

The role

You'll work directly with IROC's scientific and technical founders to build the biological foundations of the World Model.

You will turn complex biological knowledge into computational representations, datasets, hypotheses, and evaluation frameworks, and help determine what our AI systems should learn and predict.

This is not a traditional bioinformatics role. You'll help define how human biology is represented computationally and how we evaluate whether an AI model actually understands it.

We're looking for an exceptional scientist with deep biological expertise, strong quantitative thinking, and the curiosity to work at the frontier of AI and biology.

We care more about scientific depth, quantitative thinking, and problem-solving ability than a particular degree or technology stack.
